Here's the perfect chance to play with your food. Build this model of the earth's layers and then snack on it.
An Edible Model of the Earth
What you need:
1 large marshmallow
a peppermint candy
toothpick
1/4 c chocolate chips
small pan
What you do:
1. Cut a small slit into the marshmallow and stick the peppermint in the middle.
2. Put the marshmallow on the toothpick.
3.Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave or in a small pan over low heat.
4.Dip the marshmallow in the chocolate covering it. Set it on wax paper to cool.
Each layer represents a layer of the earth. The peppermint represents the core, the chocolate the crust.
